The Way Down currently consists of bass player Ari Eldon, his finnish born spouse Riina on guitar and drummer Orri. Ari has been playing in Icelandic alternative rock bands for many years, starting with punk band Sogblettir which released two albums on Bad Taste back in the late eighties.
He later played in Dýrið Gengur Laust and Bless, both of whom were involved in the wave of promising bands from Bad Taste in the early nineties, along with f.e. Ham and Reptile (Risaešlan).
The Way Down recently released their first CD on Dead Records, entitled "See You In Hell". Despite being a 3" release the CD boasts of no less than 9 catchy pop songs.
Here's a recording of the band playing "Maybe Tomorrow" in IÐNÓ on September 6th 2007. This song is not on their CD.
